A LETTER TO DAD

A father passing by his teenage daughter's bedroom was astonished to
see the bed was nicely made and everything was neat and tidy. Then he saw
an envelope propped up prominently on the centre of the pillow. It was
addressed "Dad". With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and
read the letter with trembling hands:-

Dear Dad,

It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you, but I'm
leaving home. I had to elope with my new boyfriend Randy because I wanted to
avoid a scene with Mom and you. I've been finding real passion with
Randy and he is so nice to me. I know when you meet him you'll like him
too - even with all his piercing, tattoos, and motorcycle clothes. But
it's not only the passion Dad, I'm happy and Randy said that he wants
me to have the kid and that we can be very happy together. Even though
Randy is much older than me (anyway, 42 isn't so old these days is
it?), and has no money, really these things shouldn't stand in the way of
our relationship, don't you agree?

Randy has a great CD collection; he already owns a trailer in the woods
and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. It's true he has
other girlfriends as well but I know he'll be faithful to me in his own
way. He wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my
dreams too.

Randy taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and he'll be
growing it for us and we'll trade it with our friends for all the
cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will
find a cure for AIDS & Cancer so Randy can get better; he sure deserves it!!

Don't worry Dad, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of
myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know
your grandchildren.

Your loving daughter,
Rosie.

At the bottom of the page were the letters "PTO". Hands still
trembling, her father turned the sheet, and read:

PS: Dad, none of the above is true. I'm over at the neighbour's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than my report card that's in my desk centre drawer. Please sign it and call when it is safe for me to come home. I love you!

PEOPLE COME INTO YOUR LIFE FOR A REASON!!

People come into your life for a Reason, a Season or a Lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.!!
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.!

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.

Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

this is an email i had got from someone more than 5 years ago!! and i still cherish it.. felt a need to share it with the world... hence it is in this space ! :)

THE MAYONNAISE JAR AND TWO CUPS OF COFFEE

this i got as a mail long long ago!! im sure a lot of people know the mayonnaise jar and the two cups of coffee.... i wanted to share this on this blog so people can be reminded of it!! :)

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 Hours in a day is not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty Mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar.
He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full.. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.

The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things - God, family, children,
Health, friends, and Favorite passions -- things that if everything
Else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.
The sand is everything else -- the small stuff.

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So...

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

"Take care of the golf balls first -- the things that really matter. Set your priorities.
The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked". It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

LIFE GOES ON!!!

something that crossed my mind while driving to work in the morning....

we lose track of some people who were driving on the same road with us at a traffic signal....

same thing may apply to life...

on this road of life...

at every stage (similar to a signal)....

we lose some people who've been with us for some time... and then we meet new ones ...

sometimes the new ones replace the people who left us and some people can never be replaced!!!

people come and go... may be for a reason or juss a season... and LIFE GOES ON :)

YAADEIN

kuch yaadein hain un lamhon ki
jin lamhon me hum saath rahe,
khushiyon se bhare jasbaat rahe,
ek umr guzaari hai humne jahaan
roothe hue bhi haste the..
kuch kehte the kuch sunte the..
hum roz subah jab milte the..
toh sab ke chehre khilte the..
wo aisa manzar hota..
sab milkar baatein karte the..

wo goonj humare hasne ki..
ab ek puraani yaad bani..
ye yaadein hain un lamho ki jin lamhon me hum saath rahe...

AS HAPPY AS U

sometimes in life we feel so blue..
but someone somewhere is not as happy as u..

Far at the border where a soldier sleeps, missing his loved ones he silently weeps..

A mother painfully sighs because her new born dint open her eyes..

A poor dad silently cries, wen he sees his son begging for a bowl of rice..

In an orphanage a little girl is sad,wen she misses her mom and dad..

Though a reason to smile u may not have n e..
say to urself that u r happier than many..

Life is beautiful and it is not always blue..
and sumone sumwer is not as happy as u!!
